New genes for two neurological conditions positioned

The Windows of Hope laboratories have recently positioned the genes for two related neurological conditions present in two different families. One of the genes is associated with a form of spastic ataxia leading to difficulties in walking, and the other causes a related walking difficulty called hereditary spastic paraplegia. The laboratory is close to identifying both genes which will provide a great deal of informartion about the cause of each condition.
